The Reuters' story is in the link above but the truth behind what Wal-mart is doing is here, in a nutshell: corporations are lawfully considered an individual human being within our society except that they can’t vote. Wal-mart is a "being" that has 1.3 million US workers that will, potentially, vote their way. So what do you suppose is in each employee's voter registration kit? Maybe some "facts" and figures to show how voting for certain officials and certain propositions will benefit the employee by benefiting Wal-Mart? It’s been done by corporations that I have worked for and there is no reason to believe that Wal-Mart, legally bound to make a profit at all cost, won’t influence their flock to vote for Wal-Mart’s specially interests.
