We don't need to be smart, we have WMDs!
Education is the key to helping us think our way out of our current situation. The corporatocracy knows this so they appropriate as little money as possible for education. You say, “Kids are over crowded in schools.” The corporatocracy says, “Who cares?” You say, “Kids don’t learn the arts anymore.” The corporatocracy says, “No loss.” Corporations need low-paid workers to keep costs down. The more ignorant the citizens are the broader the low-skilled worker base becomes which results in the citizens doing more for less pay. Corporations won’t have to send jobs overseas if US citizens are willing to work for scraps. So the corporatocracy says to America , “you want to learn creationism? Ok, you can learn creationism; we don’t need many rocket scientists anyway.” This section of the website will keep an eye on “the dumbing down of America” examining how and why the corporatocracy does this to us.
The corporatocracy keeps us too busy and too cut-off from funds to improve our schools. With everyone working there is no time to spend on our children’s education. How did this happen? How did a country that puts family values first end up like this? The Christian Right holds family values dearest to its heart and the Republican Party uses the Christian Right as its base: how could the family unit be destroyed under such protectorates? Joseph Perce who holds a PhD in Political Science from USC understands the relationship between the Republicans and the Christian Right and explains what happened to “Family Values”. (More..)
